Piping engineering as an engineering discipline has not been widely known by the wider community. Piping engineering is only recognized in the certain working community primarily in an engineering community and people whose work is related to Engineering, Procurement, Construction Company or known as EPC Company. The EPC Company job is to carry out the detailed engineering design of the project, procure all the equipment and materials necessary, and then construct to deliver a functioning facility or asset to their clients. Some of the famous EPC companies are WorleyParsons, Technip, Samsung Engineering and Saipem.
