Oil and Gas well Most people argue that oil and gas wells produce crude oil and pure gas. Whereas actual gas wells produce a fluid whose content is a mixture of hydrocarbon gas, oil, water, large quantities of salt; other gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) or hydrogen sulfide (H2S) that highly toxic and lethal. Oil and gas wells also produce solids, such as sand from underground / reservoirs, dirt, and corrosion products from tubing. In the Upstream oil and gas business, oil and gas processing companies work to separate the fluids with solids, remove dirt and other unused substances to produce crude oil or gas ready for sale. Ready-made crude oil has limits to the maximum limits of water, salt, and other impurities.
